The Story

It started when a friend managing a small local store wanted to run a billboard ad. The excitement quickly turned into frustration multiple calls, unclear pricing, no transparency, and no way to track whether the campaign was working. Their struggle revealed a bigger issue: small agencies managing billboard campaigns face the same friction at scale. Outdoor advertising is powerful, but outdated with no centralized system, limited data, and too many inefficiencies. That’s when StreetSight was born, a billboard CRM designed to make billboard management simple, transparent, and data-driven, giving small agencies the efficiency and clarity.

Problem

Small Advertising agencies struggle with inefficient billboard management, relying on manual processes for proposal creation, invoicing, lease tracking, campaign coordination, and performance evaluation. This results in delays, errors, and missed revenue opportunities, making it difficult to scale operations and maximize ROI.

  • Unclear Pricing: Lack of transparency makes it difficult to compare costs, negotiate fairly, or provide clients with accurate quotes.

  • No Real-Time Insights: Agencies can’t track campaign performance or ROI, leaving them unable to prove value to clients.

  • Limited Access: Smaller agencies are locked out by high costs and bulk deals from dominant players like Pattison.

Through internal testing and project panel feedback, StreetSight was validated as a promising solution for simplifying billboard campaign management. While external agency testing has not yet been conducted, early responses praised its usability, design direction, and fit for smaller agencies.

Takeaways

StreetSight uncovered a bigger industry gap, showing that clarity and transparency matter more than overcomplicated features. Bold design choices like bright colors and a mascot proved that even B2B tools benefit from personality, while panel feedback validated its value for smaller agencies priced out by Pattison. Through collaboration, I learned to balance business goals with usability, and iteration reinforced how even small tweaks like simplifying filters can drive real impact.
